The Birthday of Swami Vivekananda is celebrated every year on Pausha Krishna Saptami at Ramakrishna Math Barasat with due solemnity. The auspicious day begins with Mangalarati followed by Vedic chanting and hymns by the monks. Special Puja, Chandi Recital and Homa are conducted in the main temple. Devotees receive blessings of the Holy Trio and Prasad is distributed among all.
In the evening Spiritual Discourses are arranged on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
